The Faculty of Arts at Mary Immaculate College (MIC) is to host a free public lecture series. Taking place over several consecutive Thursdays in February and early March, the series will showcase the wide range of research interests and expertise within the Faculty.
This series of five lectures, which begins on Thursday 13 February, will explore topical issues such as the relationship between theatre and society, the history of our national anthem(s), why some people struggle with maths and the possible connection between fighting and belonging.

Mary Immaculate College (MIC) has become the latest organisation to join the ‘We’re Breastfeeding Friendly Limerick’ (WBFL) campaign, marking a significant milestone in promoting breastfeeding-friendly environments across Limerick. Supported by Limerick City and County Council’s ‘Healthy Limerick’ team, MIC is paving the way as a breastfeeding-friendly workplace in the third-level education sector. Breastfeeding-friendly rooms are now available on campus at MIC Limerick and MIC Thurles.
The Master of Education (M Ed) with Specialisms programme is designed for all those interested in enhancing their professional knowledge, understandings and skills. The programme, which can be delivered on a full-time or part-time basis, covers theories, principles and practices in contemporary educational settings.

Learn about the Department of Mathematics & Computer Studies at MIC, which was founded in 1975 to provide a subject programme in Mathematics for the newly established Bachelor of Education degree. Today, the Department continues to offer specialized elective Mathematics modules for the B Ed degree, as well as undergraduate Mathematics modules for the BA (Liberal Arts).
