There was much celebration at MIC this week as almost 1,500 students from 30 counties, 25 countries and 5 continents were conferred with academic awards across the College’s 30+ undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Education and the Liberal Arts. Members of MIC's Alumni community prepared special video messages to celebrate and congratulate the Class of 2022.

The Director of Teaching and Learning at Mary Immaculate College (MIC), Dr Gwen Moore has achieved the distinguished and internationally recognised status of Principal Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (PFHEA). Principal Fellowships are awarded to academics who demonstrate a sustained record of successful, strategic leadership in academic practice to enhance student learning. Dr Moore is the first Principal Fellow to be accredited by the HEA at MIC and is one of only twelve Principal Fellows in the Republic of Ireland.
Almost 100 students and alumni from MIC were recognised for their academic and other notable achievements on Tuesday 26 November as just under €500,000 was presented on the night in scholarships, awards and bursaries.

A Mary Immaculate College (MIC) led gender equality project has received €19,000 in funding from the Higher Education Authority (HEA) under the Gender Equality Enhancement Fund. The project, Integrating the gender dimension into teaching, learning and educational outreach in initial teacher education, is led by Dr Maeve Liston, Director of Enterprise & Community Engagement at MIC, and Edel Foster, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Manager at MIC.
