In the month since being here, I am certain that you have already explored Limerick and found favourite spots to hang out, explore and spend time at. Yet I am certain that you haven’t seen all of Limerick yet! With this blog post, I’d like to introduce you to lesser known places in Limerick that are still worth exploring. And who knows? Maybe they’ll become your favourite in the end. So lets dive right in!
Abbey River Coffee
In need of great speciality coffee, tea and other drinks? Why not check out Abbey River Coffee? All drinks are made with great care and taste just as great! This small and lovely shop is located on Merchants Quay, right after the Mathew Bridge and offers a comfortable ambience for you to enjoy your drink whether right outside the coffee shop, in its vicinity to river Shannon, or wherever you take it!
Lucky Lane

Interested in curiosities, antiques, second hand items or small trinkets? Lucky Lane is a treasure trove for all of this! Traverse through rows of books, comics, fan merchandise and jewellery, film posters or clothes – you will be sure to find something that catches your eye. Found in Catherine Street, this Variety Store is close to the city centre and deserves a (at least!) small visit. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy – perfect to spend time at. So get lucky!
The People's Museum of Limerick

Ready to leave the 21st century behind you, in favour of delving into Limericks history and historic life? The People’s Museum of Limerick is a wonderful place to learn and explore! Located in a Georgian house on Pery Square, in close proximity to the People's Park, this museum offers a fascinating look into Limerick's history, taking you through the decades and centuries before us. Multiple floors, a lush backyard, a cellar filled and decorated with authentic items of diverse nature and more brims with antique charm. Whether it be on a guided tour or your own exploration, this museum sparks of living history and makes every visit worth-wile!
Places such as this add to the charm of Limerick, and make constant exploring even more fun. Why not give them a go?
