How do I View My Loans online? Go to the Library homepage and click on My Library Account. Enter your College email and your network password. You can then: See what books you have on loan and the due dates; Renew your books; Check your fines; and Check the status of books that you have reserved.
Learn about visiting other libraries through various cooperative schemes, Mary Immaculate College staff and students can gain access to the libraries of other third level institutions.
Every year, thousands of visitors come to both MIC campuses for College events like Open Days, Graduations, CPD training and conferences as well as a host of events run by outside parties, from summer camps to science fairs, evening classes to professional examination.
First of two days of 2022 conferring ceremonies took place on Thursday 27 October. Close on 1,500 students from 28 counties, 18 countries and 4 continents were conferred with academic awards across the College’s 30+ undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Education and the Liberal Arts. One of this number was Joy Bala-Ahmed who came through MIC’s Access Programme as a mature student and secured a 1st Class Honours in her BA!

The 2023 Mary Immaculate College (MIC) Thurles Summer School took place on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 June.
The MIC Thurles Summer School explored the 1998 Education Act, the progress made under it over a quarter of a century, and the journey yet to be travelled in supporting the principles of the Act.

The 'Women in Education: Afghanistan and Ireland' conference highlighted the plight of women under the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Waterford Senior Camogie Player, Niamh Murphy and Galway Senior Hurler, Eoin Lawless, have been announced as the recipients of the 2024 MIC Gaelic Players Association (GPA) Scholarship.
Originally introduced in 2021, this scholarship scheme is open to GPA members who have applied for and are successful in securing a place on MIC’s postgraduate programmes in education and the liberal arts. Under the scheme, MIC contributes 50% of the successful applicants’ programme fees and the GPA contributes the remaining 50%—allowing them to avail of fee waivers of up to €5,000 per annum.
Met Éireann has issued Status Orange wind warnings across the country as Storm Darragh approaches.
The storm is set to hit bring heavy rain and strong winds to all counties.
Currently there are no plans to close either the Limerick or Thurles campus. If a Status Red Alert is issued for either Limerick or Thurles the campus in that area will be closed for the duration of the alert.
