Audio-Visual Library
MIC Limerick Campus has an extensive audio-visual collection which is held on the first floor of the library.
Collections
DVDs - The library has a collection of DVDs. These are mainly feature films, documentaries and television series and are used to support the media studies undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Newspapers (microfilm) – The collection consists mainly of national and regional newspapers from the 19th and 20th centuries including 20th Century Irish Political and Radical Newspapers (IPRN). There are also newspapers from the 18th century, including the Freeman’s Journal.
The British in Ireland: Series 1: Colonial Office Class CO 904 (Dublin Castle Records).
Irish Folklore Collection (microfilm) – The library holds in microfilm Ms.1 – Ms.1840 of the Main Manuscript Collection of the National Folklore Collection (original held in UCD)
Irish Life & Lore (CDs) - Audio recordings compiled by Maurice O’Keeffe and Jane O’Keeffe, Tralee. Voices have been captured as they discuss their own lives and histories, along with personal and family experiences of events in Irish national and social history.

Microfilm is not available for loan. Other materials are available to borrow for one week and will auto-renew for up to 12 weeks. AV items cannot be requested.
