Postgraduate Information Sessions 2024 - Data Notice

One of your rights under EU law is that you must be informed when your personal data - also known as personal information - is processed (collected, used, stored) by any organisation including one of the EU institutions. You also have the right to know the details and purpose of that processing.

This notice will outline the processing of personal data of attendees of the Postgraduate Live Online Q&A and Information Sessions 2024. As hosts of this event, Mary Immaculate College may collect your personal data only to the extent necessary for organisational purposes and to provide you with information about the event (before, during and after).

How we use your personal data.

If registering for the information sessions, we will collect some of your personal data for organisational purposes. The data you provide will not be used for any additional purposes.

The personal data we will collect via our online form includes:

  • Name
  • Email
  • County of residence
  • Preferred registration session
  • Field of study you are interested in
  • Programmes you are interested in
  • Current status - current undergraduate student, graduate, other
  • Title of programme and name of the third-level institution you are/were studying
  • Field of work you are currently employed in and how many years you have worked in that sector
  • How did you hear about the MIC Postgraduate Information Sessions

MIC will delete this data immediately after the event has taken place. We provide you with the option to express your consent in the registration form.
