Giana Hennigan
Research interests
Giana Maria Hennigan is a PhD candidate in Applied Linguistics here at Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick, where she also lectures on both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the areas of Applied Linguistics, English Language and Academic Skills. She is a qualified Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) teacher. In addition to teaching, she is a certified Cambridge Speaking Examiner. Her research interests include Corpus Linguistics, Phonetics and Phonology, Specific Learning Differences and Second Language Acquisition Processes. She is also interested in issues of motivation in language learning and their implications for classroom practice. Her doctoral research is centred on Spanish-speaking learners of English with dyslexia.
