In October 2018, Meg O’Shea was appointed as the Manager of the Office of the President.

The Manager of the Office of the President serves as the Executive Assistant to the President and provides administrative support to the Board of Trustees, An tÚdarás Rialaithe and the Executive Team. The Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordinating and supervision of the day-to-day activities relating to the core administrative functions of the office. Additionally, the Manager plays a key role in the organising of key strategic MIC events including State and official visits by visiting Government Ministers and Ambassadors.  The role also oversees the coordination of official College events including the annual Conferring Ceremonies. 

The Manager, Office of the President plays a crucial role in promoting a culture of best practices in regulation and compliance within governance and executive operations. This position also oversees record management in the context of the regulatory system of Irish Higher Education. Responsibilities include compliance with the Freedom of Information Act, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies (2016).
