MIC October Open Days attract the largest numbers to date

MIC Open Day

Mary Immaculate College (MIC) is excited to announce that its recent October Open Days have achieved the highest attendance in the College’s history, with more than 4,000 prospective students, parents, and educators visiting the Limerick Campus over the course of the two-day event. This significant milestone highlights growing interest in the College’s diverse academic programmes, state-of-the-art facilities, and vibrant student life.

Held on the 17 and 18 of October, the Open Days provided an in-depth look at everything MIC has to offer. Prospective students had the opportunity to engage with teaching staff and current students, attend programme-specific information sessions, and explore campus facilities. Visitors also had a chance to learn about admissions, financial aid and scholarship options, and the extensive support services available to students.

The MIC Strategic Communications and Marketing (SCM) team, who are responsible for the planning, promotion, and management of all of MIC’s key student recruitment events, expressed how thrilled they are with the turnout for this year’s October Open Days. A spokesperson for the team added, ‘To see such a strong response from prospective students, guidance counsellors, and their families is truly rewarding. The high level of interest in the College is a reflection of the strategic priority we place on Open Days. We are excited to continue helping prospective students discover their potential here at MIC.”

Looking ahead, the SCM team is in full planning mode for the January Open Day (18 January, 10am-1pm). On the day prospective students will get the opportunity to explore our Limerick campus and discover all that the College has to offer from its range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, extracurricular activities, exceptional facilities, and supportive learning environment. The event will include programme talks on MIC’s undergraduate degrees on offer at MIC Limerick and MIC Thurles, as well as talks on the College’s over 30 postgraduate programmes, offered from graduate diploma to doctoral level across the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Education.
