MIC Limerick January Open Day
The MIC Open Day will be held at our Limerick campus on Saturday 18 January (10am-1pm) and is an excellent opportunity for you to learn all about the undergraduate and postgraduate study options on offer at MIC’s campuses in Limerick and Thurles.

Undergraduate Study
Are you a leaving certificate student considering your CAO choices? A mature applicant looking to return to education? Or a fifth year or transition year student thinking ahead to third-level? Then the MIC Open Day is for you!
Join us at our Limerick campus on Saturday 18 January (10am-1pm) to find out all you need to know about our undergraduate degree programmes in Psychology, Liberal Arts, Primary Teaching, Post-Primary Teaching and Early Childhood Education, as well as our latest additions, the BA in English Language and Literature and the BA in Drama and English.
You will get the opportunity to explore our Limerick campus with current students and attend live talks presented by MIC lecturers. MIC staff will also be on-hand to answer any questions you have about studying at MIC, as well as access routes, accommodation, disability support, scholarships, clubs and societies, Erasmus, work placement and lots more.
Postgraduate Study
Are you a current undergraduate student looking to continue your college education? Have you a graduate certificate or diploma, and would like to progress to an MA or PhD or maybe you would like to upskill in your current job or change your career? If so, join us for the MIC Open Day to learn all about the wide range of postgraduate programmes on offer at MIC from graduate certificate to doctoral level.
At the MIC Open Day on Saturday 18 January (10am-1pm) you will get to learn all about our Education and Liberal Arts postgraduate programmes, as well as the research opportunities and funding available for postgraduate students at MIC.
Staff from our Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Education, and Research & Graduate School will be available to answer any questions you may have, and there’ll be live talks throughout the day that will give you an overview of the range of postgraduate programmes on offer at MIC. You will also get to tour our Limerick campus with current students and explore MIC’s postgraduate study facilities.
Talks, Tours & Information Stands
Campus Tours will be led by current MIC students and are an excellent way to explore our Limerick campus and learn about student life at MIC. Tours will depart from the TARA Building every 10 minutes from 10am-12.30pm. Pre-booking is not required.
Information Stands will be located in the TARA Building. Here you will find staff from MIC's Faculty of Education, Faculty of Arts, and Research & Graduate School, as well as staff from our Access Office, Admissions Office, Accommodation Office, International Office, Placement Office, Careers Service, Students' Union, Sports Office and more.
Programme Talks, presented by MIC lecturers, will take place in the Lime Tree Theatre and TARA Building. These talks will give you an overview of MIC’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
