Welcome Back and Fresh Goals for the Semester

27 January 2025

Hi everyone!

I’m so excited to be back for the Spring 2025 semester after spending the break at home in Cambodia.

I was in Ireland for the Autumn semester, and heading back home was such a refreshing change—reconnecting with my family, enjoying the warm weather, and of course, indulging in all my favorite foods (I miss them already!). But now, I’m back in Ireland and adjusting once again to the chilly weather, the grey skies, and, of course, the endless cups of tea to stay warm.

With a new semester ahead, I’m feeling motivated to set some fresh goals and make the most of my time here. Here’s what I’m focusing on:

  • Getting Organized: Balancing coursework, projects, and life can be tough, but this semester I’m determined to stay on top of things. I’ll be using planners and digital tools to keep track of deadlines and avoid last-minute stress (hopefully!)
  • Connecting in Meaningful Ways: This semester, I want to focus on building connections that feel natural to me—whether it’s having meaningful one-on-one conversations, joining smaller group activities, or simply engaging with classmates over shared interests. I’m looking forward to forming deeper relationships and making the most of opportunities to connect with others.

  • Taking Care of Myself: The cold weather and darker days can be tough, so I’m making it a priority to stay active, eat well, take vitamin D (since there's barely any sunlight), and find ways to stay positive—whether it's through catching up with friends or enjoying a good cup of coffee.

It feels great to be back, and I’m excited to see what this semester has in store.
