Ireland has many great sights worth visiting, whether they are historic landmarks, towns and cities or its stunning nature. No matter where and for how long you travel, you are sure to have a great time. So go and explore this island! In this blog post, I will present you several travel destinations, whether for a short weekend or day trip, as well as longer travel.

Why not spend a day or weekend in cities such as Galway, Dublin or even Belfast?

Galway is as charming as it is welcoming; with a lovely downtown area, inviting you to stroll along the Latin Quarter, the market and its many, many shops and cafes. Why not visit the beach as well? With its proximity to the sea, you can walk along the shore, enjoy the harbour or even extend your trip with a visit to the Aran Islands.

For grand museums, historical landmarks, great pubs and a busy city life, visit Dublin. With so many activities and locations to visit, you are sure to find what you are looking for. If you want to experience the history of Ireland, this is the place to be. Whether it will be St. Patricks Cathedral, Trinity College, The National Art Gallery or one of its many historical libraries – this city is brimming with places to explore.

Belfast is great for nightlife, exploring the city and its history as the origin and building place of the Titanic! Walk through the Cathedral Quarter, enjoy a shopping spree in the Victoria Square, or walk along the pier to see some stunning glass artwork of Game of Thrones! The Titanic Museum is an experience you must see, so stop by there when you’re in Belfast!

With Limerick's favourable position, you’ll be able to travel to both Galway and Dublin in under three hours and have ample opportunity to get to Belfast from Dublin, whether by train or bus. For Belfast, I’d recommend staying for at least one night, as travelling might be too much for one day otherwise and you run into the risk of not seeing everything you want to.

Looking for wild nature instead? A Road Trip is a great way to experience authentic nature and scenery, far off from tourist places. The Wild Atlantic Way is a grandiose way of seeing Ireland's stunning nature along its coastline! Stop along the road wherever you like, and you will see the diverse and fascinating nature of Ireland; whether it will be forests, fields, bogs, the coast or beaches. Of course, some places have become a tourist attraction for a reason, and so it is no loss in paying them a visit: The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, or Slieve League. I did a road trip last semester with three of my friends, and we had a wonderful time together! So, I can only recommend going, a road trip is perfect to explore Ireland and make lifelong memories!!

So go out, travel and explore! You are sure to find amazing places to be!
