Undergraduate Entry Requirements
- Students must complete a Foundation Programme recommended by MIC. Entry to Foundation Programme requires “Título de Bachiller” with a grade of 8/10.0 or above.

- Bachelor’s Degree (Título/Grado de Licenciado/a) from a recognised university with good grades (CGPA of 7/10 (3.00)/4.00 or above) in a discipline relevant to the postgraduate degree sought.

Undergraduate Entry Requirements
Direct Entry
For Direct Entry to MIC programmes, students must hold one of the following with good grades:
- International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB)
- A-Level (+GCSE O Level)
- USA High School Diploma with SAT or ACT
Foundation Entry
Students who have completed a Colombian High School Diploma are required to take a Foundation Programme. Please contact International@mic.ul.ie for further information.
Postgraduate (Taught) Entry Requirements
- 4-6 Year Título de Licenciado / Título (Profesional) in a relevant discipline from a recognised university with a CGPA of 8/10 or above, 80% average from all years of study.

Undergraduate Entry Requirements
- Undergraduate students must undertake a Foundation Programme recommended by MIC or have a minimum of a 1 Year Bachelor Degree study from a recognised university with average grades of 75% or higher.
- For entry to the Foundation programme students must hold the Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination with an average of 2/4 or above letter grade B (very good) or higher which must include English, Mathematics and another language.
- Students are also required to present the National Unified Examination with an average grade of 70% or above in Ability Test.

Undergraduate Entry Requirements
Standard XII examinations of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Metro State Boards or Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), with first-division/class standing and a minimum average grade of 70%.
- A language other than English and Mathematics must be taken as a subject up to Grade X.
- Where there is a specific subject requirement for a specific programme (e.g. Math, Physics, French, etc.), a minimum grade of 70% in that subject at Grade XII is required.

Postgraduate (Taught) Entry Requirements
- A four-year or three-year honours degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university. First-division results are required with a minimum overall grade of 60%*.
- Particular programmes may require an interview and/or work experience.
- Indian students must provide full transcripts/full marks sheets of each academic year. A consolidated marks sheet is not sufficient as a standalone.

Direct Undergraduate Entry
- Students are required to hold the STPM (Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia - Malaysia Higher School Certificate) with good results, with a CGPA of 3.00 or above. Subjects should include English, Math and another language.
- Particular programmes may require specific subjects.
- Students holding Diplomas or Higher Diplomas from appropriate institutions may be eligible for advanced standing.

- Students holding the Malaysian Unified Examination Certificate (must have grades of at least 70% including English, Math and another language).
Or
- Students with SPM Certificate (must have grades of B or above in best 5 academic subjects) plus a recognised Foundation Program. Students can take a Foundation program recommended by MIC or alternative Foundation Programs such as UCSI, KDU, Sunway and others in Malaysia. Alternatively students can achieve SAT scores of 1250 or above in place of a Foundation program.

Diploma
- Holders of a Malaysian Diploma are eligible for entry to Year 1 of a Bachelor Degree once Diploma is in a cognate discipline with high grades.
Advanced Diploma
- Holders of an Advanced Diploma may be eligible for entry to Year 2 of a Bachelor Degree once Diploma is in a cognate discipline with high grades.

Undergraduate Entry Requirements
- All students must undertake a Foundation Programme recommended by MIC.
- Entry to Foundation programme requires a CGPA of 80% or above in General Secondary Education Certificate including English, Mathematics and another language.
- An IELTS of 5.5 is also necessary depending on the Foundation stream.

- 3.0 for applicants whose degrees are marked on a 4 point GPA scale.
- 4.0 for applicants whose degrees are marked on a 5 point GPA scale.
- Please note, consideration will be given to applicants with 3.70 or higher on a 5 point scale but these applicants will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

- A four-year Bachelor Degree (Professional) or Bachelor Degree (Special or Honours) with an overall grade of B+ (80%) or GPA of 3.0.
- Three-year Bachelor Degrees are not accepted.
- For applicants who completed their Bachelor Degree before 2010, entry requirements are as follows: Upper Second Honours (60%) OR grade B with 60% minimum.

- Entry to Foundation programme requires successful completion Mathayom 6 with GPA 2.0 plus a recognised Foundation Programme or SAT score of 1250 or above.

- Students coming on a 3+1+1 from Kasetsart University require a GPA of 2.50 or above for entry to the Study Abroad Programme.
- Entry to the Master's programme is given on a QCA of 2.75 or above in their Study Abroad programme.

Visa not Required
You do not require a visa to study in Ireland. However, you will be required to register with the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service for permission to stay in Ireland and full details on how to register will be given to you during orientation. Please note, the fee for registration is €300.
Undergraduate Entry Requirements
BA Programmes
- High school graduation diploma with a GPA of 3.0 (or 80% average if not scored on a GPA scale) or above which must include English, another language and mathematics.
- Either SAT or ACT scores of the following; SAT score of 1090 or ACT minimum score of 22.
BSc Programmes
- High school graduation diploma with a GPA of 3.3 (or 86% average if not scored on a GPA scale) or above which must include English, another language and mathematics.
- Either SAT or ACT scores of the following; SAT score of 1350 or ACT minimum score of 28.
Specific Programme Requirements
- Particular programmes at MIC may require applicants to have passed Advance Placement tests or Sat II tests in specific subjects.
- For courses that require honours Maths/English the student must present a SAT score of 600 or higher in the Maths or Critical Reading/Writing section and also an average B grade (80% or above) in the honours subject in high school (grades 9-12).
Associate Degrees
- An applicant may be eligible to transfer to year 2 of a degree if their degree is in relevant discipline and they have completed associate degree with CGPA of 3.00 or above.

AP Exams
- MIC recognises AP Exam scores within its admission process. Students should submit a minimum of two AP Exams with scores of 3 or higher.
Weighted GPA
- MIC accepts a weighted GPA in recognition of Honours/AP courses. In cases where a student is taking AP or Honours courses the weighted GPA can be taken into consideration for entry to degree programmes.
Note: Old SAT exam prior to March 2016
- For students who completed SAT exams before March 2016, scores between 1725-1800 are considered.
Postgraduate (Taught) Entry Requirements
- GPA of 3.00 or higher in a four-year degree programme in a relevant discipline at a recognised third-level institution.
- Third-level institutions rated between 1-3 on the Peterson’s Guide to U.S institution entrance difficulty are typically considered. However, applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Financial Aid
MIC has been approved by the US Department of Education to certify loans that fall under William D Ford Federal Direct Loan Program.

- For direct entry, applicants are required to complete a minimum of 1-2 years of a Bachelor Degree programme (Bằng Tốt Nghiệp Đại Học) from a recognised university with good grades or a recognised Foundation programme.
- Students must also hold the Upper Secondary School Graduation Diploma with an average grade of 7 or above including English, Mathematics and another language.
- Particular programmes may require specific subjects.
- Alternatively, students who graduate from a Vietnamese Gifted High School can get direct entry to Bachelor Degrees. They must hold a high school transcript from a Vietnamese Gifted High Schools and have a score of 8.5 or above. Certain programmes with limited places may require 9.0 or above for direct entry.
