MIC Theses and Dissertations

Copies of Ph.D and Master's theses written by MIC students are held on the First Floor of the library.  You can search for these using Search All and choose to filter by Library Catalogue and then by Dissertation/Thesis under the Content Type menu on the search results page.

Theses can also be found online in MIRR. From 2023, MA Taught theses are available to view in an internal collection on MIRR.

Finding theses from other colleges

Dissertation Abstracts 

It includes 2.7 million searchable citations to dissertation and theses from around the world from 1861 to the present day together with 1.2 million full text dissertations that are available for download in PDF format. Over 2.1 million titles are available for purchase as printed copies. The database offers full text for most of the dissertations added since 1997 and strong retrospective full text coverage for older graduate works.

WorldCat

Allows you search the collections of libraries worldwide. Go to Advanced Search and from the drop down menu beside Content select “Thesis/Dissertation”

EThOS (Electronic Theses Online Service) 

This is a service from the British Library. It automatically harvests e-theses from Institutional Repositories and digitises paper theses from participating UK Higher Education institutions.

Please note that EThOS is currently unavailable due to a cyber attack

DART-Europe E-theses portal 

It provides access to full-text European research theses.

Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD) 

A Union Catalogue containing more than one million records of electronic theses and dissertations. Mainly North American coverage.
