Academic Departments & Subject Areas

The Mary Immaculate College Faculty of Arts has 13 departments, covering 14 subject areas in the humanities. These departments deliver the Bachelor of Arts, BSc in Psychology, BA in English Language and Literature, and the BA in Drama and English programmes, as well as contributing to education programmes in the following areas: elective specialism modules on the Bachelor of Education; Psychology modules on the BEd in Education and Psychology and Arts modules on the BA in Education programmes at MIC Thurles at undergraduate level. It also provides a range of programmes at postgraduate level as well as the Foundation Certificate for Mature Learners.
