Navigating the New Frontier: Generative AI and Academic Integrity

Hosted in partnership by Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick and Technological University of the Shannon, in association with the National Academic Integrity Network, and funded by the National Forum through the Strategic Alignment for Teaching and Learning Enhancement (SATLE) fund. This conference explored the relationship between Generative AI and Academic Integrity within the Higher Education (HE) sector.

About the Conference

This conference considered ideas and debates around Generative AI including acceptable use, equity of access, originality, designing for the classroom and assessment, and policy development and implementation. It gave voice to the perspectives and experiences of academics, students, policy developers and the broader higher education community. 
Bringing together diverse voices, this conference investigated how the Irish higher education sector can navigate and make use of generative technologies while upholding the values of Academic Integrity. The topics discussed are of interest to academics, students, professional support staff and policy developers, and include conference presentations, keynote addresses and a roundtable panel discussion.
